I just got my M1 intake manifold from KRC and installed it over the past two days. I followed directions carefully but have run into some major trouble. When I start my truck up I have a check engine engine light and no oil pressure reading on the guage. I did not think there was anything that I did that could have that effect. It starts and runs ok. I have not driven it yet ( sure you can imagine why ) but I was wondering if anyone had any insight. I see no visible leaks and the oil is level is fine. Gonna call marty at KRC tommorow but looks like I need to find a tow truck :-( .

The oil sensor is up there in that area. Towards the distributor if I remember correctly. Its probably disconnected or damaged during installation. Check that out first. Get a Haynes or Factory service manual if you don't already have one. The check engine light is most likely on because of the oil pressure.

Yep.. check your oil sending unit (connector next to your Dist.) It's easy to miss reconnecting it when it's in the back like that.

Hope it's just disconnected, and not damaged. Your check eng. light came on due to 'no input' from Oil Sending unit. Once you check/fix that, you can reset your PCM and the check eng. light will go away (no code).
