I need help on my tune-up. I about to hit 60,000.
I want cap, rotor, wires and coil. The guy at this shop says they have to order coil but MSD doesnt make wires, cap and rotor for 99 dak, 318-5.2L, auto.

Is this true? If they are avaliable, what are the part numbers? What about ignition kit? Any good? Any ideas for brand of spark plugs?

Since the 318 magnum is pretty much the same motor in whatever you put it in I think this summit racing part number should work... MSD-3130
Probobly the only thing that would change is the coil wire. You could always try asking for a set for the ram. I think to get an MSD cap and rotor you will need an MSD distributer to put it on first. If you are talking about ignition systems, seems most use the MSD 6 series. I have the 6AL myself.

It depends on your definition of better. The 6AL has an adjustable rev limiter in it. It's cheaper to get it with the rev limiter than add it later.
As for cap and rotor, someone said about a week ago that the NAPA cap fits MSD wires well. The MSD wires feel loose on the stock cap and the ANPA version corrects this problom.

Get Borg-Warner cap and button. Very good quality and MSD 8.5mm wires fit no problem.
I have the BlasterSS coil and MSD 6TN with the NASCAR plug. Works very well but the nascar plug doesn't make it go faster.

Where do I get Borg-Warner? Is it any better performance wise? What MSD part number wires do I need?
Any better performance with BlasterSS coil and MSD 6TN? What part numbers?

I am looking for better MPG

Visit Speedtweaks.net they have all that stuff. BorgWarner make copper caps that are much better then the stock ones. They also sell JBA wires (JBA makes MSD wires) for a pretty good price. Don't worry about the MSD stuff yet, they will not really help your performance that much.

I recently installed an MSD 6AL, MSD SS Blaster coil, MSD 8.5 mm wires, Accel cap and rotor, Autolite 3923 sparkplugs, and a 180 degree thermostat on my 97 5.2 and noticed a 1 MPG increase. I think the wires should be the same for yours and mine. Sorry I do not have the part numbers, I just threw out the boxes.

I put a part number in my first response. I also run an MSD blaster 2 coil.
