Alright... So, I have the 98 5.2, running 6# with the Vortec S-Trim, headers, exh, 24# injectors, electric fan, shift kit, 4:11 gears, and other little stuff. The trucks best run was a 14.3@96mph... (i just bought the truck the way it is, i haven't ran it myself)
but yea... Would it take much more for me to be able to get mid 13's on street tire? even high 13's is ok, but mid would be better.
I was thinkin, cam, rockers, port heads, new valve, that should be good for some HP, but i don't want to spend that much...
any other ideas?

Larger throttle body
Smaller pulley on the blower so you get more boost

Yea, I also don't want to blow the HG... i guess i should just get the MR. Gaskets and the new headbolts and run the 12#s?

Just the boost by itself doesn't blow head gaskets. Detonation is what blows head gaskets. Does that use an FMU for fuel control? You will need more fuel to run 12 lbs of boost. Having some timing control will help keep everything in check also. Are there only two pulleys available for that blower? Maybe 8 or 9 lbs would be better if you're worried about hurting parts. A buddy of mine is running 16 lbs of boost on his R/T and his wife drives it to work every day! He does however run a boost retard of about 1 degree when his wife drive it.... especially with just premium unleaded in it.

Yea, mine has a boost retard and timing control...
i don't know about the diff pullies, i have to see what ones i can get...
the R/T, is it a stock motor? and aren't the 5.9's stronger? or no?

The 5.9's head gaskets won't be any stronger.......
Basically it's a stock motor.
