Suggestions? Have Gibson from previous owner and
want something about the same sound level. Looking for mandrel bent, best flowing, and on the quiet side. Will give up A LITTLE noise to get perfromance.
Also need tune up suggestions Best wires, plugs, cap combo for performance too. Can wait to hear what's out there!

Message: well, i have exactly the same truck. i went with the mbrp cuda style exhaust (though you can get it with regular round tips and no rollpan) i like it. its not annoyingly loud. but when you're accelerating, you can hear the very nice deep rumbling.i found the truck has a better response now. www.mbrp.com
as for plugs and wires, just yesterday i put in the autolite 3923's with taylor spiral-pro 8mm wires and accel dist.cap and rotor (had a very hard time finding anything better than the accel) but found it made a pretty big difference in the truck.
other things i bought which have yet to be installed. 180 degree thermostat, new serpentine belt, lakewook traction bars (these i have had to grind down the corners between the brackets a bit to fit the plate on the 4wd rear axle),
and other things intended to purchase in the next little while, headers, k&n fipk air intake. these should make a nice increase as well.
hope any of this helps
