I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MUCH MY 1990 DODGE DAK SE WEIGHS BECAUSE IM GOING TO ORDER TIRES THAT HAVE A MAX COPASITY OF 1477 LBS WILL THEY HOLD OR NOT PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE.......?

if you do the math it comes out to 5908 pounds that all four tires will support together. you truck does not weigh that much so you should be fine, what kind of tires are you getting

Derek, its not that simple. you are correct that the tires can support 5908 pounds, BUT let me give you a little senareo.

you are traveling 65mhp down the freeway, and someone cuts you off. you have to slam on the breaks...this transfers about 65-70% of the weight of the truck (which weighs about 4,000 pounds) to the front axle. and say you have to turn right (or left) while breaking. now most of the weight of the truck is on ONE TIRE!! then you have to add the factor of inerta. the faster you are traveling the more weight will be placed on the tire

this is why ALL vehicles come with tires that are capible of supporting weight way over the weight of the vehicle.
