Subject: found a BIG problem today.. help! IP: Logged
Message: i checked the break shoes on my truck today, and started checking things around the rearend and noticed my left rear breakline had gottne smashed against the C-notch in my frame. NOT GOOD! the breaks work fine, but i dont know how. the line looks like a pancake. i dont know how fluid get through (to tell you the truth, i dont care. as long as it gets through...lol).
does anyone know where to get break line? i think i might have to bend my own line and re-rought it some other way.

Message: I've seen ads for it in Truckin'. Especially that nice braided steel line. Good luck.

Message: ouch! That's not good. If its as flat as I am picturing it, that means that side's brake won't be very effective--if at all. You probably don't notice a difference in braking because the rear drums do significantly less braking than your front discs.
I wouldn't suggest trying to make your own line. Tubing is hard as hell to bend without kinking; especially if you need to put some hard angles into it. And between the cost of some form of tubing bender, the cost of wasted line (trial & error), and the aggravation, it would likely be more feasible to seek outside assistance. I spent a good chunk of a day trying to fabricate a 4 foot line for my Ranger. I ended up plugging the line off at the distribution block, and taking it to Midas. I was back on the road less than 30 minutes later..for less money than I'd just laid down for the aforementioned supplies.
Three possible solutions:
Go pick up a copy of Peterson's 4-Wheel & Off-road or just Off-road magazine. The back couple pages of both magazines will be filled with advertisements for various after-market companies. I know there is at least one in there that advertises CAD-drafted, computer bent, brake lines. The should be able to hook you up.
Try any of your neighborhood's major brake shops. They should be able to order a pre-fabbed line, or custom make you a new one.
Failing that, you can always hit up Dodge, but I suspect that'll be a tad pricey

ill look into some braded line and do both sides, or take it to a brake expert.

Message: I got a recall notice on that. I have 99 R/T. I just took it to my friends shop and relocated it a bit for clearance.
