Strange event. Tried to jumpstart my F-250 w/my QC 4x4 4.7-no luck; however, when I tried to restart the QC, the engine would start, stay running if I revved the engine, but would quit the minute I tried to just let idle. Tried 3/4 times, same thing. Let sit for 10 minutes, engine worked fine. Anybody experience same event and if so what causes this?

Maybe it caused a temporary problem with the computer? I know that all manufacturers recommend that vehicles should not be jumpstarted with another vehicle because of the possibility of an electrical surge damaging one of the vehicles. For that reason i won't use my truck to jumpstart anyone's vehicle, but i carry a jumpbox i'm happy to lend out.
