Message: No really, you'll need a large engine for beefy construction, torque and durability, a bigblock conversion from Schumaker or ideally a Hemi. This will add weight to the truck which will necessitate an upgrade to the Diffs and that will mean you need even more power so you SC the engine, and if you ever want to pass emissions you'll be needing the EFI.
If you were thinking of say a 408 stroker 360 engine you probably need sc + Nitrous in amounts which would wear out your engine much faster than you'd think.
any way you get around to it, The vehicle you would end up with would probably not be very street friendly (off road use only)
Sorry Man I don't think with that much unsprung weight you have a chance. But hey I'm just some slob on the internet, build one and prove me wrong. 8)
I wish you luck.
peace,
Middy.

Message: I have a 4x4 and I'm more than sure it's competition for the 4x2. I don't have mine lifted though. Figure how much does a 4x4 weigh compared to a 4x2. Not exact figures but it's only a few hundred pounds. Yes you'll need to have a little faster engine, but hey it's all fun and games.
