Subject: Spark Plugs IP: Logged
Message: ok, so I have been reading some of the posts pertaining to changing the spark plugs and I haven't really gotten a great answer.
I have a 4.7 and want to know if going to the Autolite 3923 is really worth it. if not what is the best plug to go with?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Message: I'm going to install a set of NGK ZFR5F11 in my 4.7. I've always had good luck with their plugs.

Message: How hard is it to install them...? I was looking and the AC lines run right on top of two of them.

Message: It's not hard. Unbolting each coil takes a while (10mm wrench with an extension), and those are heater hoses that bolt down to a bracket on each side of the intake manifold. Yet again 10 mm with an extension. Just let the heater lines cool down after you get home or you will burn the living F out of yourself. One last tip.... go to a shop near your house and use thier air hose to blow off the top of the engine. Blow out each spark plug hole so no grit goes into the cylinder head when you take out the plug.
Good luck.
