 Subject: 97+ Air hat on a 95 5.2L

Does anyone know if the small black plastic air hat on the 97+ Dakotas will fit the 95 Throttle body. There are many more cool air intakes like that Z-tube (saw that and drooled) that don't work with the 95's big round air cleaner. If so, I'll take a part number if you have one.

Cool, that opens up a world of cold air intakes. Is there anything special I have to do to the TB? I have that three piece (bolt, bracket and long bolt) air hat hold down assembly. I might head to the Dodge dealer today to check on cost, etc.

Nope...nothing extra required. They run about $100 from the dealer though...see if you can find one at a wrecking yard first.
I had installed a Powerdyne Supercharger on a '95 SLT (Richard Pyburn) and we just bolted the airhat (from a '99 R/T) to the TB. The only thing that you may have to make is the "S-Bolt". That's also easy...

I went to the Dodge dealer yesterday, they are selling them for $64.00, not bad. I'll check salvage yards first, thanks for the info.
