 Subject: 01, 3.9 Auto 2 WD - 4.7 Throttle Body Swap

After considering the alternatives, a 4.7 throttle body on my 3.9 sounds like the 1st order of buisness. Is there any modifications needed for this swap? How does it effect the performance, fuel economy and running condition?

hey dude,
im not 100% positive, but i dont think you can use a T.B. from a 4.7l.
youl have to get it out of a 5.2l or 5.9l, along with the V8 throttle cable and a new gasket.

the tb design is completely different, the 4.7 is 68 mm single blade and the 3.9/5.2/5.9 are 48-50 mm double blade, just find a tb off a 5.2 or 5.9. the tb is the same size whether it's 5.2 or 5.9

Ported 68mm TB, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" Z-tube, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat, Electric fan Convertion, HO cams, Robert shaw 180 therm, HO intake manifold.
