Message: reroute the heater hose back to where?

Message: This is definitely a good idea...never thought of doing that before. The heater core definitely puts out some heat in the lower dash area.

Message: I stopped by Lowe's today. Unfortunately, they had no valves in 5/8". I am just going by here-say, I assume the heater hoses are 5/8". All they had was 1/2" and 3/4"

Message: Jag,
You know, it's been along time, and I'm too lazy to go downstairs into my garage and measure.
What I did, was look at the hose thats there, and it had a size stamped along the heater hose, thats what I used. I honestly don't 'member

Message: why are you guys going to lowes and home depot to try to find these parts? almost every MOTOR HOME dealer I have ever dealt with carries the "flow return valves" you are looking to fabricate. I bought one years ago at "Murray's Auto Parts" which is a nation wide chain that goes under several names, including Midnight Auto and Forest City the things are designed to fit on both the in and out flow hoses for the heater core, and divert the coolant flow from the input side around the core and back into the outflow hose. there are even kits available with a cable that installs under the dash, sorta like a lawnmower throttle cable, to turn it on and off. really handy when traveling through the mountains and going from a warm low altitude to a really high, cold one.

Message: The reason is because Home Depots and Lowe's are everywhere. Not many RV parts stores around here...think before you talk.
