Message: I'm pretty sure you'll need an install kit.Since you'll have to completely disassemble the entire diff.,this kit will have all the shims, bolts, seals, gaskets and any other parts that will have to be replaced including bearings(with the "master" kit).Your existing ring gear should bolt right up to the tracloc, but you'll still need an install kit.

Message: You will need a professional to install a trac-lok set-up. Unless you get a Powertrax locker, that is. Setting up the pinion and ring gear are not simple bolt-in type tasks. There are clearances and tolerances that must be maintained to the thousandth of an inch and if you get them wrong, you will destroy the rear end gears, housing, etc. Be sure you know exactly what you're getting into before you try this on your own.

Message: If you don't have a service manual DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE THE DIFF. If you don't remove the pinion the install is easy for a gear head or tech. You will need a few special tools and a dial indacator. You don't need a install kit for a diff only (it may be the cheeper way to buy the things you need), you will need : new ring gear bolts (you should not reuse them),hydrated ferric oxide (to check gear contact pattern), 2 differential bearings ( make sure they are made in the USA ),and some form-a-gasket.Use Red Line gear lube or buy some friction modifier and add it to the gear lube(red line is better).

Message: You need the carrier bearing adjuster tool as well.
