Message: The concrete sticks to the tires more than asphalt. Maybe you had just enough traction to keep both wheels engaged?

Message: There's any number of reasons that could cause both wheels to spin, on an open diff.
A chick I was going out with back in the 70's (showin' my age here!), had a Challenger SE with a 318, 904 tranny, and an open diff. Every once in a while, I could get it to leave a couple of strips, instead of one.
It was a little easier to drive on slippery roads then the car I had at the time (Charger RT with 4 spd and 8 3/4" SureGrip).
