Hey, I just bought some 24# fuel injectors from Bruce Holt at fiveomotorsport.com. He also has 19# injectors for us too. His prices are really good and shipping is quite fast. I ordered on Monday and they are here today.

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com

Though he deals mainly with stangs, the injectors are the same for our trucks. Tell him that Kris Lenard sent ya!!!!

I know nothing about injectors. How do you know which ones to get? 19# and 24#? Would the 19# injectors be for a smaller engine like my 3.9 and the 24# for the V8 engines?

Mighty- More or less. The 19# injectors flow way better than the stock ones in the 3.9. With the 24# injectors, usually you want a modified engine to run those. Like for use with superchargers, turbos and nitrous...I am not sure if it is wise to stick the 24# in a 3.9 unless it is seriously modded.

Can someone explain the pros and cons of these puppies? Is there a benefit only with other mods or are they good by themselves? What do they do? More HP? More MPG or less? David

Well, on my truck I noticed that they picked up mid-range performance noticeably. They have a 4-hole spray pattern, as opposed to the stock ones, which have one. I'm not sure about the 93 - is that pre-magnum? You might be throttle-body injected, in which case these wouldn't work.

Well, i think our stock ones have a 1 or 2 hole pattern. The aftermarket has 4 hole patterns. Therefore increasing gas flow and dispersing gas better. We all know more gas more vroom vroom..Also better dispersal, better ignition, better performance....

well horse power gains from this mod varies. I am not sure if it is a whole lot of gain, but it is a noticeable difference. I don't wanna quote any numbers and be WAY off...Contact Bernd at www.speedtweaks.net. He might know some figures. Or some other folks will chime in...Like Lesley said, you will feel a noticeable difference, but if you add an intake, throttle body, injectors, and a free flowing exhaust, you would DEFINITELY feel the difference than if you only added the injectors or if you only added just the intake. These mods go hand in hand, so if you add corresponding mods to your vehicle, you will get the max horse power.

Exactly - some mods are unoticeable by themselves, but in conjunction with others - WOW! Like my headers for instance. I liked the looks and the sound, but hp improvement was negligible, and low end was sluggish. However, with the addition of the borla - Holy Smokes. I put the TB that night, and it turned into a different truck. The injectors went on afterwards. My mechanic, a long time experienced racer & restorer took it for a test drive and was very, very impressed with the way they woke up the mid-range. For me - I can only afford to do things one at a time, so it takes patience to get the combinations to click.

i went down and picked them up from bruce. he is a good guy and the best price for injectors around.

i didnt notice much from them. i got mine for $120, and i think the money would be better spent on something else.

stick with the 19#'ers unless you have a blower.
