Has anybody tried any kind of top engine cleaner on their truck? I guess it's supposed to clean out carbon and junk from your intake, injectors, and cylinders. My friend used the GM kind on his 5.0 and noticed a difference in performance.

I've used the GM kind in my small block chevy motors and that stuff worked great for me. Kinda looks like the mosquito patrol when you're burning it off though. ;)
Dunno about using it in a vehicle with a composite intake though, it might do more than clean, LOL!

I have always added one to two can of B-12 chem-tool to my fuel tank every oil change and have never had a plugged injector. Make sure you buy the pint cans of B-12. The B-12 injector cleaner in the plastic bottle is the same thing but you get less and pay more. You will not have any problem with smokeing. I have also had good results with marvels. Chevron Techron injector cleaner and Proguard also works great.

I have used Chevron Techron for many years with great success. I started using it in 1983 with a Nissan 280ZX Turbo.

BG44K - All my mechanics (3 of them, different brand vehicles) swear by this stuff. Once every two years. It's very potent so change your oil after running it thru a tank of gas.
Downside - it's expensive and hard to find.

Try the AMSOIL Power Foam (follow the directions)
and start using their Performance Improver in the fuel
tank (one 16 oz. bottle treats 160 gallons).
Use these products ..... They work !
