Message: You guys will have to excuse me. I am like a kid in the candy store. I just discovered this web site last week. I have hundreds of questions. Currently my '99 X cab has 5.2/auto/3.55 L.S.
Modifications to date are K&N Gen II with the area on the side of the radiator opened up and the filter boxed in for that ram air effect. Also 180 degree thermostat, Kenne Bell headers and crossover pipe, Trans Go shift kit, & 2 chamber Flowmaster.
Dyno shows 198 H.P. and E.T. is 15.35 with this set up.
My bonus check is due in soon. Considering: (1)Throttle body - probably Flometrics. (2) Intake manifold mods. (3)Crane Compucam 2030 (will the stock valve springs work with this cam?).
Does this combo sound like it will work? Won't be able to do much more because I'll be out of money.

P.S. Don't know why it says "unregistered" under my username. I am registered as GENIII.

Message: Oops!!!!! I forgot (4) computer upgrade. probably Hypertech because I have had bad experiences with Jet (apparently some of you have also) and Mopar advises against pulling trailers with theirs. I pull a bass boat regularly.

Message: Wayne,
If you're going with the Hypertech...grab the Power Programmer and not just the PTM. It gives you more options for what you want.
Definitely get the Flometrics 50mm Billet TB but on the Cam, grab the entire kit and not just the cam. (Lifters, Springs, and retainers).
On the Intake, and with that Cam and TB...the M1-MPI would probably be better suited for that you want. The cost of the M1 is about the same as a modified factory intake from Hughes engines and works very well on the mid to top end performance. (Not to mention NO Plenum Gasket.)
Now, since you'll be towing, you may want to reconsider the Intake modification. Both the M1 and Hughes have excellent gains in mid-top end performance...but at a slight loss on the bottom end...which is where you'd need it for towing a boat. If you're not concerned with it...sounds like a good combination. (I'd hate to meet up with ya at the track.) ;)

Message: Bernd,
Thanks. You have given me something to work with. I'll probably give up a little low end because I, like the rest of you, like horsepower. Now, all I need is my bonus check.

It may be that characters such as + are illegal and therefor dropped.
