Subject: True Duals Added IP: Logged
Message: Well I finally got enough courage to get the dual exhaust put on after readin many posts about losing backpressure and low end torque due to no backpressure. Well after driving it around I'll definatly say I didn't lose any low end torque it actually pulls hard through 2nd which was a problem w/ the new M-1 and it pulls extra hard up top too. One thing I'm kinda disappointed in is its quieter now. I mean only thing different in mufflers is its dual in dual out but the other was single in dual out which seems louder...they were both 2 chambered 40 series. But I think I can live w/ less sound over lots more power. If you have the M-1, TB, headers I highly recommend true duals.

Message: Hey Mike,
What size pipe did you use?
I found that using 2" duals was much better on a 318 carbed engine was very good for torque and top end. I usually use Turbo 500 or 400 mufflers.

Message: I think they used the standard 2-1/2" pipe.
