If any of you remember, I blew my head gaskets a while back, and decided to go with the Mr. Gaskets and arp head bolts. Well I decided to go to a local speed shop for the parts because i wanted them quick. Well that was 2 something weeks ago. Seems odd to me that it takes them this long. On top of that, they said arp didn't make a kit for magnum motors, so the guy ordered all the bolts individually. hmmm... seems wierd once again. Well anyways, I know I'm gonna call today and there gonna say the same thing... not yet buddy. I really wanted to get my truck done this weekend so I could have it next week. Does anyblody know where I could get these parts fast? Im thinking about ditching this shop completly. sorry for the long post but I've been patiently waiting a long time and I think my friends are getting tired of taking me everywhere. By the way, this shop is in the Dallas area... but I dont think I should disclose the name.. or should I? i dunno if thats wrong or anything.

Is that WRONG? No way. I wouldn't totally smear their name unless you KNOW they're pulling a fast one on you, but there's nothing wrong with saying "Hey, if you're doing this to your truck, I would recommend looking around, because I went to (insert shop here) and I had to wait a LONG time." If I sold a product or service, and didn't do work expediently or correctly, or even worse, lied, I would EXPECT people to smear my name and pass the word.
Current mods: A MUFFLER. That's it. (For now.)

Removal of clutch fan

Guys,
While I usually try to keep my money in the local community,I always buy my speed equiptment via mailorder.The local speed shops are full of arrogant idiots.You could walk in and drop $5,000 on parts and the very next day go back and they would act like they had never seen you before.These guys are totally into their Rustangs and the whole ricer thing.While it may just be an act,at least the mail order guys say "Thank You"

horsepower store. They still dont have the gaskets and it sat. On thursday, late afternoon, i called hughes, and asked them to send arp bolt, head gaskets, and intake gaskets. On and off the phone with 7 minutes. ordered the next day air at 3 o clock. they were at my door by 11:30. I was surprized. Everything was in order ad correct. Great people over there, they know what they are doing. i highly recommend them. I called speedtweaks, but they couldnt send anything and they were already out for the holiday. no biggie. I have gotten some great info from them and plan on doing business with them too.

Have you been reading the General Forum with the "...Speedracer... Never Again..." combination? The lad going by PsychoRT seems to be one I'd "...Never At All..." by his posts! Just curious. Anyway, it should be interesting to see what HIS follow-ups are on that thread, if any.
