Subject: Will the Muffler be too loud?? IP: Logged
Message: I want to put a 40 series on my v6 truck and am wondering whether it will drive me crazy because I drive with the windows down alot. will it be too loud. I have a LOUD sound system that is always on, so maybe that will drown out the muffler sound?? Any advice would be great!

Message: I don't think it will be too loud. I had one put on my truck last week and I have been driving around with my window down just so I could hear it more!! But seriously, it is loud without being obnoxious.

Message: BlackDak00 has the flowmaster on his truck and it sounds pretty good... I had on on the 4-banger before i traded her, she sounded really good for a 4-banger...I have one on my R/T now and it sounds super sweet. I have the muffler dumped with a turn down right before the axle, so mine is LOUD.

Message: I'm about to put 40 series flowmaster's on my girlfriend's truck('99 Dakota 318) to quiet it down a little. I just had dual exhaust with glasspacks and no cats put on(they wanted $110 a piece for flowmasters at the exhaust shop)right now it's loud as hell and has that horrible glasspack "rap" around 3,000rpm, so 2-chambers should be quite livable.
