Subject: Which Redline? IP: Logged
Message: I am wondering if any of you use Redline gear oil in your rear differential or if you use the synthetic atf in your auto trannys? I checked out their site and they have a few different types of atf and gear oil, but I dont know which to use of either(atf & gear oil) in my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318? Also,if anyone might know, which is better, Redline or Amsoil?

I've been using Redline MTL in my 5-speed transmisson and Redline 75W90 (not the 75W90NS) in my differential. As with my old Camaro...haven't found anything that beats Redline. (I used to run Mobil-1.)
Amsoil is a lot of marketing "hype"...they're no better than Redline, make obnoxious claims on oil change intervals (with their filtration system of course), and don't have any Dyno proof to back up their claims (Redline does).
