Subject: My letter to Hypertech.............. IP: Logged
Message: Here is a copy of the email I sent to Hypertech, please post any comments:
Hello:
I am writing regarding the future availability of a Hypertech power programmer for a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7L Auto.
I have called in the past, but have gotten the same answer....our engineers are working on it. I would like to see if I can get more than just that information, i.e. what is the time frame if ever. I have a lot of friends, either internet or "real", that have these trucks, but they seem to get no support from Hypertech in availability of programming options, for MANY years. That is obviously no secret to you guys either. Chevy, Chevy, Chevy.
Please understand, we are not angry, we are ANXIOUS. I had a Programmer for my S-10, and LOVED it. Now that I have a Dodge, I feel left out my you guys. Talk to us, please. I had to wait 2, almost 3 years for a Power Programmer for my 1999 Mustang GT, and I found other options. That is gonna happen in this case(and for many Dakota owners) as well, if we don't a least have SOMETHING to go on.
Sincerely,
Chris Patrick

Message: Us 4.7L owners do need some kind of plug and play unit that is reasonably priced and doesn't need a lap top computer to modify curves. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if one was offered. I've called hypertech many times and I get the same response everytime.
