I called Kenne Bell today cuz I was curious whether they had taken off my speed limiter on the Optimizer II I got since alot of guys w/ it in their 4.7's said they wouldn't remove their 98mph limiter and they said they were supposed to remove it on my R/T but didn't because they didn't see the waiver I signed, which was right behind the first form. Which means they were supposed to remove it but didn't and said I could send it in and they'd do it but didn't recommend it for various reasons. Should I waste money express mailing it to them or should I just stick w/ the 117 limit? They said the highest they can go is 130mph. Should I do it?

Hence why I'm sending mine to Leach. Kennebell is a bunch of pussies. DCX must be strongarming them not to do top speed limiter removal. Maybe the damn things disintegrate at high speeds, who the f*ck knows. My 4.7 CC auto has a condition that allows a front driveshaft bushing that can seep after prlonged(1000's of miles) above 96 MPH(96 MPH limiter). That is coming from an engineer at DCX. I tried to use my connections to get it programmed for free, no such luck. DCX customer service is a bunch of *ssholes too. Kennebell does not need my money with that type of bullsh*t. Those f*ckers should pay for your shipping there and back since it sounds like they f*cked up by not seeing your waiver. Just my .02. Can you tell I'm pissed about this friggin limiter??

:)

I originally wanted Mike Leach to do my PCM flash but he didn't have any tables to prgram mine to and said he probably wouldn't be gettin any for the '01 and up models. B&G Chrysler wanted $600 to do it and I was like f*ck that I thought about ASE but hadnt' heard much about the results from people that got em. I read alot of good things about Kenne Bell Xcept they wouldn't remove the limiter on 4.7's and under but mine is a 5.9 and they will remove it so thats why I went w/ them, plus they were the same price as ASE and quoted the same HP numbers.

I'm gonna try and get them to pay for the shipping on it.

Personaly I am going to forget the flash and go with the ICON timing controller. Thats where 80% of the power is made is with the timing. I can put in any curve I want, add or take away at will. The only catch is the laptop computer. I inherited one so not a problem there. Then I can trim or add fuel with the IAT adjuster.

I don't care about rev limiters haven't hit one yet and have seen the tach at 6000.:) oops. I also have the 117 speed limiter and I am sure I will find a way around it if I put my mind to it. But it hasn't been much of a concern. Don't need or want ot go any faster than that. All I cane about is 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

I've never hit my limiter... and to be honest, 105mph was -fast- enough!

Although I wouldn't be against going faster in controlled conditions. Like on a track. In good weather. :0)

As long as you have a lap top you can run it. Marty from KRC performance will send you the spark maps. Like I say it is just a personal preference. Just trying to give some people some other ideas. I just like the adjustability. But it isn't a bolt on and run kinda deal.

Well when I talked to Marty a couple months ago he said he himself personally couldn't tap into the 2001 and up PCM's and there was no way he could modify anything on them. Did he find a way?

Well CW, I have a laptop, in fact I'm using it right now! How do I get a hold of these spark tables? I am saving some extra cash to have Leach do my PCM, but if I can do timing and maybe do top speed limiter removal in the future, maybe my laptop is a blessing. Any idea what program can remove it?

Driving is too damn competitive here in Michigan. Cripes, I bounce off the 96 MPH limiter twice a day! I NEEEEEEEED the top speed governor removed! I also have heard the Leach flash(or any where my advanced timing is restored) will give me the better mileage I crave!
