Sadly, I will miss the old girl, but I traded her in for a 2002 Atlantic Blue Club Cab R/T...I must say, I am not disappointed in any way.
As I saw it, I figured that I was about to pour in an a$$load of money to tweak the 4-banger, so I bought an R/T with the money I was gonna use to feed speed to my ride. Like I said, I will meiss her, but my new girl is bad....real bad....

Whats kinda funny is your profile pic changed so all the talk you did in the 4-cyl board is gonna really screw with some peoples heads.
BTW- did you pull some of your engine mods off the 4 to put on the 8. (at least the intake)

Hehe, I know I am gonna catch a bunch of crap from the other 2.5 Daks, and even some of the 8-cyl Daks...Oh well. I figured that if I was gonna put a bunch of money into the 2.5, then why not get an R/T? Also, the color of the truck is new for 2002. I think it is a sweet looking color. Also, the truck came with factory chrome rims.
I pulled the billet fuel door and the tail lights from the other one and put it on this one...
The mods that I am going to move over is prolly the nitrous, but not yet. I had to give up the intake cause I could not find all of the stock pieces to put back on...oh well.

Regarding the blue color: My family has a record of bad luck with blue vehicles. My sister's blue bug hit a rottweiler at 60MPH, she painted it white, didn't work, almost totaled it twice. (if it were fully insured, it would be totaled). My dad's totaled two blue cars because people ran red lights or stop signs (one was a 14 year old), my blue grand prix was hit twice while parked in the driveway for about $2k a pop. So I went with bright silver, nice and easy to see.
Looks nice though.

exhaust too loud?...the louder the better, nice
thing about automatics is they are quiet till you
give it some gas.
A guy just bought one of those blue R/T's on
my girlfriends street...kinda like a stone blue
metallic looking deal. I always mess with him
going up the street, but he never goes all the
way.
going from a 4 banger to an 8 banger is a big
jump...just take it easy on the gas pedal, I'm
going broke already!

hey, do you still have the nitrous... that would make that V8 fly!!!
i tried to trade my truck in about 6 months ago and they wouldn't because they said they couldn't warranty the engine with all of my mods... especially the nitrous... how did you get around that?

I took that stuff off and made no mention about it. I took off everything except the flowmaster and the AIRAID. I put back on the stock air hat, took off the nitrous and the jet chip. The big thing is to NOT tell them what you did to the engine. It pretty much is on a need to know basis (if you know what I mean.)

Oh yeah, I kept the nitrous, hehe. I won't put it on yet though, I want to put on other mods first. I have an intake, pulley, MSD ignition, t-stat, Barg Warner cap and rotor, Taylor wires coming and I want to put those on first, hopefully within the week. Next comes the Roller Rockers, Camshaft, 24# injectors, Electric cooling fan, and Headers. After those it is the M1 intake manifold and throttle body. Then prolly the nitrous. hehe.
Rusty (blackdak00) came by to see my truck today...I think he liked it....a whole lot....hehe
I put on a Flowmaster 40 series original today and it sounds super-sweet...

i know speed is cool and all but are you sure you want to loose your warranty with the injectors, nitrous, camshaft and roller rockers? i was just wondering because it is a brand new truck! i waited for those mods until my warranty ended... and thank god because i had my intake manifold replaced!
i didn't tell them... my truck just looked suspicious. after they wouldn't trade it in i was like "ok, coilover setup here we go!"

Hey Kris, if you go to sanger be sure and call me or something, i will go with you. i am not going to race you though! maybe a week ago i would have! I covet your truck, but i love mine to much to trade it in for an r/t. I ordered the 360airintakez on wed. if i'm lucky i'll get it in the mail today(saturday) so i want to go to the track next week.

I ordered my intake last night and they shipped it today, Hopefully it will be here by tuesday or wednesday. I also ordered an underdrive pulley, 8mm plug wires, Barg Warner cap and rotor, and the MSD Tach adapter for the Ignition kit I have. I will be putting on the ignition stuff whenever the adapter gets here. I was not able to go to Sanger today, but I want to go on monday to just see when the hours and days are to race. I'll call you when I get outta school. (My spring break is in 2 weeks...)
