Has anyone tried the venom 400 pcm yet. I've read
great reviews on this, but none from dakota owners. Any info would be appreciated as I am thinking of getting one.

waste of money. do the tps mod and you will see the same gains. it puts resistors on various sensors so when your at 50% throttle the truck see's like 68% and makes you think your going faster.

I talked to the guy at truckperformance.com about the Venom 400 He told me it don't do any more than a stage II chip. I have a stage chip one and was wondering about it. You can't use the Venomn with a chip either.

I saw some people said they thought it felt faster, but no change in dyno numbers to back it up. Sounds like a psycological upgrade. Maybe they didn't put enough magic smoke in it.

I've read an article in a Jeep Wrangler magazine(forgot which one) that did some tests on the Venom 400. They did it on a Jeep Wrangler 2.5L and it only gained 3 extra horses. Thats not very much for a $400 module. The Jeep Wrangler initially had coulple mods to it like an highflow intake and borla catback exhaust system. Venom explained that the module was designed for a stock vehicle that have not been highly modified. Sounds like B.S to me. Venom does make a very good Nitrous Systems though.
