Subject: Stoopid 'TPS' Question
IP: Logged

Message:
Okay, I'll swallow my pride and ask a stooopid question. I have been doing alot of mods on my truck and I am very mechanically oriented as I have had numerous hot-rods in the past (muscle cars)....but what the heck are you guys talking about when you say that you have 'TPS@0.76V from 0.51V'? If it means more ponies or lbs torque, I wanna do it too!

Thanks

adjusting your TPS voltage will increase
throttle response....

Go check out www.speadtweaks.net and look at the 'Tips and Tricks' section. There is a place for 'TPS voltage adjustment' there. It's free, you just need some washers, a drill, and a digital voltmeter. Mine was already set at .767 from the factory, so I didn't change it. All it really does is improve throttle response, which is cool! No real power increase.

Even if yours is already adjusted can't you still drill out the brass inserts and it'll still have better response?

I think drilling out the inserts is only so you can get a little 'play' to adjust the voltage with. If it's good, don't mess with it :0)
