Subject: hmm now which mods? IP: Logged
Message: I bought my dak last summer and i love it,its fast, its pretty, and its loud. But i want more power, i knew it would happen eventually so my question is, what mods cost the least and make the most power? I was thinking of getting a 360 airintake, headers and a tb spacer. im not sure which brands to get or which models, and if these mods sound good how much power could i get. thanks for ur opinions if u respond and sorry for the long post.

Message: 360airinatkez 180.00 delivered. I'm really happy with this one.
Next will be 3923's, 180 t-stat, and IAT adjuster...66.00 delivered. After that probably either a 68mm TB that I will port or a cat-back.

Message: What engine?
I wouldn't buy any of the items you mentioned.
360 Air Intake, good for the 4.7L, bad for the rest. I don't think the 360 replaces the stock hat.
Spacer, no effect on MPI engines, maybe on wet type system like carbs or TBI maybe.
Headers, very minor gains with stock setup. Good with mild to heavy modded engine or blown.
Here is a very small ruff opinion of Mods that I think works.
Items that always gives best bang per buck.
Cam
Heads
Gears
NOS
Turbo or Supercharger
Next would be
Mopar PCM or ASE or equal.
After-market Throttle Body.
Next
Intake
Headers
Roller Rockers
Clutch or TCoverter
E-Fans
Then the rest. Very low gain
180T-stat
Wires
Plugs
MSD
Oil

Message: sorry there anthony but why did you put NOS on the bottom? that is the BEST bang for any buck.
$550 and up 250 horsepower? beats any cam i know of.

Recommend only for experts :) I've seen pictures of a car blown in half from NOS.

Message: Yeah. I figured it was from owner stupidity. Just wish the nearest fill station wasn't 2 hours away. Would like to try some lauphing gas.

Message: used a dremel (60 grit drum recomended by
CW) and I used a polish drum, to polish it(you
can get the drum[long and skinny] or the
wheel).
Just remove the TB, grind out the inside,
before the butterfly, there is a lip on the inside,
take the lip all the way down, so it is even with
the rest of the opening. careful not to grind
any metal down where the butterfly sits. make
sure you remove all traces of metal shavings
before reinstalling the TB.
