A few hours ago I went up against my friend in his 99 Nissan Frontier dessert runner(2WD) w/3.3L. I was in my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318. At the first light we come to, I hear him rev is engine a few times and I knew it was on. I reved a few times and we were off. From right off the line to the very end when one had to give way to the other due to a lane merge, I killed him. At the next light he didnt seem so anxious to race again, hhmmm.... I wonder why? Its amazing the lost power you can get back with something as simple as new plugs, cap, rotor, and MSD 8.5 wires. My beast(93 longbed, 4x4 Dakota w/318) is alive again!!
Oh yeah, bye the way, I know this wasnt a fair fight, but he beat me once before and with my luck in racing, it felt DAMN GOOD!!!!

Joel, the plugs were AC Delco's(the cheap ones), the cap and rotor were Borg/Warner, and of course the wires were MSD's. I got all of them from Kragen's but when I ordered the MSD 8.5's I had to order them for a 94 Ram w/318. By the way, everything except for the plugs had to be ordered because they dont normally stock those items.
p.s., thanks Bernd for the ignition componet recomendation, they all work great!

Joel, yes the MSD's came pre-cut with both ends already with the boots on. As far as the MSD ignition goes, no, but I would like to know what an MSD ignition includes, how hard it is to install, cost, and what kind of gains you get from it.
p.s. sorry I didnt give you any part numbers, I cant remember them. Bernd gave me all of them so you should send a post to him.
