just got the flowmaster 40 delta with splits put on my Dak over the weekend. Sounds sweet. My question is - - Can I put a cherry bomb between the cat and muffler for a sweeter tone?????

If by sweeter you mean mellower - yes. Cherry bomb will act as a resonator whether in front or behind muffler. Only louder if used instead of muffler.
