For all you guys without the stock set up, what do you feel is the advantages of a cold air intake vs. a round open element air cleaner?

i have had both, a 14" open element, and a gen II k&n. i think both give about the same performance, but i have not had the gen II in the summer heat yet. i think the hotter it gets, the better the gen II will perform.

its a 14x3" k&n. its the FIPK designed for the ram. oh yea i just thought i should share, the freaking filter SHRUNK! its no big deal, k&n said they would replace it for free, but i decided to get the cold air gen II anyway.

im thinking of selling the openelement, and if i do ill get the new replacement and then sell it
