Message: first its thank you time you've helped me alot in the past!!!my 68mm port job works great!!! little more power all ranges...i figure i need a intake now to complete the job..i know a guy who owns a auto shop..we custom bent a peice of 3" muffler pipe (like z tube) but i don't think his machine is mandrell..theres creases in the bends..pipe is inside 2 7/8" but were it bends its only 2 5/8"..its on the truck ran around the block..sounds throaty!!!!but not sure about more power...do you think its restrictive???it runs fine has'nt lost power just has'nt gained any...what should i look for to find out if its restrictive??? will i hurt the engine??plan on driving to work about 20 miles before i put the stock stuff back on..do'nt like sewer pipe look..know of a few metal vent pipes at homedepo 3" or 4" and the elbos are the same size..one type is a pipe in a pipe, space in between for insulation.. maybe sqirt that foam in a can in there my k&n is only 3" inlet.. will you give me info on all this!!!learned too value your opinions..oh yea hows the cams working!!plan on that this summer!!!!also i'll try to post a pic of the intake we made..THANKS ALOT!!!!!

Message: That should work pretty good. If it didn't cost much maybe get him to bend up some 3.5" pipe then the bends will be over 3". I don't think it will be a big issue though. I didn't notice much power increase with the intake right away it always seems to take a week later to find out if it made a diff.
The cams are good. More low and mid range power so far. I don't bother to shift down when passing people. Even with my bike in the back heading from the city. A desent improvment IMO. Can't speak for top end or quater mile times as the roads are still a mess. Certainly seems to hit harder at that 2500rpm when the engine comes alive.
2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, HO cams installed. Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.
