i am not trying to start an argument or anything. You are right about a couple of things. i am poor and do what i can do. i probably will drop in a 360 that would only be legal in the state of arkansas when my truck is paid off. NO, i won't race your camaro! i am young but not stupid!
it's just i am taking it the wrong way everytime i see that "mopar v6s are weak by nature". i think i am proving that wrong. sorry if you had a bad experience, seriously. Where do you live? i like meeting other people on this forum, but not for competition.
i think 93dak got this off on the wrong foot. i don't race people to gloat about it. i do it to see what i can do. i hate all of this "well if he had nos he would of won"... well, he didn't.

Okay guys - a guy in a late 80s called me on at the lights tonight. We were even for about a block, then I left him behind. I don't think he liked it too much, he tried for another block and a half to catch me, then pulled up behind and sat right on my tail at the next light

Calm down fellas... your hitting all ends of the spectrum here... Trucks, Rice, Old Muscle cars v6'es v8'es... Intense just said he beat a Z28 out at the 1/8th... thats all he said... He wasnt saying he was better than anyone else... He just found it humerous he managed to down a Camero... And I dont blame him. I'd be laughing my ass off too esspecially if I had taken a guy in a Z28 in my dak6.
(Nothing against the 6'es when I say a truck with a 6... I just mean Its funny to think of a heavier vehicle with a V6 beating the guy in the Z28)

actually i didn't even bring it up... some guy in the v6 forum asked if i beat anyone... that was one.
oh, oh... and there was a 454 chebby truck there...low 10s in the 1/8th. felt sorry for that guy. now i might be doing a little gloating but i have witnesses (on the other had there was a 8.5 second lightning).

Yeah I saw that Checy 454 SS there. I almost got paired up with him. But I could tell he was scared after he heard my awesome exhaust. I mean, I scared off that Camaro. Did you see that one Intense? I did my little radial tire kick then waited for him to do his burnout. I know he was scared cuz after he finished he just went past the lights and down the track. Everyone's afraid of my loud, tractor soundin', 11.7 second (in the 1/8 :D), 4 cylinder truck.
By the way, I reconnected my muffler now. lol

no, it's no problem... i like to hear what other people race against too. but it just seems like there are too many people who are either too skeptical or have lost to a certain vehicle that you could do it right in front of their face and they would still have to say something like "must of been the drive"...
well... i am no professional driver either.
dave, no i didn't get to see you pair up with the camaro... i spend a lot of time tinkering with my truck between pulls. Your exhaust even scares me!

Any of Yall down there I would be glad to show you guys what racing is all about ;}
I will be trailering my camaro across Houston to race a guy with a Hemi cuda on Saturday, He keeps talking s hit to me when I am in my RT, so we are setting up a little renedevue on Saturday night, we havent decided where yet, cops have been coming down on us older guys, they say we are setting bad examples! LOL
It will be a good race he has a 1970 426 hemi dual quad with NOS against my 427 1970 camaro...
Rumor is, we may be making a freindly wager to see who wins.....

I know that you meant you weren't afraid performance wise. And thanks for pointing out my supreme slowness by the way. And like I've said already, I reconnected my muffler.......but only to see if it helps or hurts performance. HA! This weeks I'm going to compare before and after. Muffler/No Muffler Tailgate Up/Tailgate Down
And some other crap.
If you hear a tractor creep up on you in the night you best hide your cookies.

Lets just say, its fast enough to require helmet, and just slow enough not to need a chute....lol
I really dont like saying how fast it is, there might be prying eyes.....
I race for compensation, so not a good idea to blab.....sorry
It is fast though, like I said before there is not a whole lot that can touch me, dont get me wrong I have lost several times, but to extreme cercumstances, like traction and road, and such, and it is barely streetable, in fact i usually trailer it, is easier to get around Houston.
