Message: Did you tighten at the doughnut, or the manifold ? Could still be an exhaust leak - sometimes if the gasket blows out, tightening will not fix it. Could also be a loud ticking lifter.

Well Gee Gerrick that's funny because I thought the 1500 series Ram was a 1/2 ton.
Just proves you not as smart as you think. Probably your brain is not completely defrosted yet. LOL
Also the Dakota weighs in at 3500 lbs so don't give me that smart arse stuff! And it would be a 1/4 ton truck if classified by tonnage.

Message: The Dakota can haul 1000 lbs in the bed, along with a couple of guys in the cab. For those like "LeaseMO" (STS) who are more challenged by math - that is a half ton. There are some ways that the Dakota is even stronger than the full size half ton. That hardly makes it a 1/4 ton truck, as you foolishly claim.

He got in it the next day to go to work it did the same thing. we got a wrecker to take it to Dodge they tore it apart and found 3 cylinders with 3-4" cracks on them. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem/

Message: I have a 2003 2500 5.7L with 81K miles. I also have a broken valve spring. Now I am facing an engine re-build. I have had nothing but problems from the start with this truck. New PCM, new Rear end (dealer found a factory adjustment wrench left in the axle), pinon seal replaced, left rear flange gasket replaced. The battles with Chrysler and my dealer have not been pleasant, I will never purchase a dodge again! If you are thinking of purchasing the Hemi in any product line, I would highly recommend getting the extended warranty. I also recommend that while in warranty you take it to the dealer right away, give them 3 chances to fix, then quickly invoke your lemon law rights, you have a limited time to invoke the lemon law. The dealer and Chrysler will make every attempt to drag out the process, do not let them!

Message: Before you went to your usual male nude beach site(of which I won't even name because only you can do that) you just had to give out your .5 cents in disputing Leasemo(Not STS) and loosing every bit of that argument.
First of all, just because it carries 1/2 a ton in the bed does in no way make it a 1/2 ton truck in ranking. The name doesn't refer to the weight of the truck! Back in the old day's that have might be true; but it's now about rank rather than classification based on payload.
Since the Ram 1500 is classified as a 1/2. That would indeed make the Dakota a 1/4 of a truck.
So there you go idiot boy! I hope you argue with that all day long!
P.S Math Lesson= Gerrick Doherty who couldn't even give a proper lesson in common sense.

I guess smarty pants was thinking of a 48 modle Dodge.
