Howdy All. I have a 2001 2.5L Dak and the power steering pump seems to be a little loud. I can hear it almost everytime I am turning or at iddle when I slightly turn the wheel. I NEVER turn the wheel all the way over. I was wondering if this is normal for the 2.5L or if it is a sign of a failing system. I have not noticed any steering loss or anything else related... These problems have been occuring before the mods, so they are not a factor.

I am afraid to take it in and have the dealer tell me that it is "within specs..."

they are just a little noisy from the factory... but... i think they are not a real strong unit. i have had mine replaced once under warranty (got my truck airborne, don't tell DC!). and now it seems to be leaking periodically. check your fluid level because those things scream when they are low.

Fluid level is within limits...The thing is that steering is fine, no travel or hard wheel turns. No jerky steering wheel. hmm.
