Message: I used to be very sceptical of them myself, over at contour.org we have a guy called bnoon( bernd in a parrallel universe. that got a 15hp gain on the dyno. that 15hp gain was on a mass air sensored car the only problem was it confussed the hell out of the sensor. but dodges use map sensors so there's no need to worry about that. some like some don't. In concept it seems like a good idea. 1psi supercharger(at how many cfm anyway) or 1psi at 100mph from ram air, and that ram air would be with a properly disigned and ugly scoop.
if it's like cheap ram air I might buy it.

Message: I did see 1psi boost on the old Autometer gauge...yes, it does work as well. We track tested it at Houston several years ago and found that the truck ran .3 seconds faster.
The eRam puts out 750CFM (single unit).

Message: I'd love to try it but I got a wreck to pay for right now. hard for an 18 year old to make that much money. lol.
but you gave me an idea I got a nitrous kit(zex) that won't fit my truck and a nice mountain bike I'll sell. If someone raise's dyno money I'll pay for the before dyno. just need some people to pick up the after.
bernd what kind of gains did you get.

Message: yeah but the sad part is there is a $6200 lean on it right now. Bought it and a new dirt bike a couple of years ago. Still have to pay off that. I was looking to sell it to free up some money I was using for payments. Oh well seems like somethings are inevitable in life Taxes, Payments and Death.

Message: yeah I have more than a few things I could sell but I usually sell things and then wish I had them again latter. decisions, decisions.
hay bearnd which model did you use. super or regular? whats the price/ supercharger difference?
is it two stacked on top of each other or a different unit all together? seems like two on top of each other would cause a bunch of turbulence.

Message: Has anyone ever taken a turbo and got rid of the exhaust side and put an electric motor there instead of relying on the exhaust gases to produce the boost?

Message: I think that would be less efficient. I mean using the exuast gases is about the best thing I can think of. An electric motor would only produce a strain on your alternator. I dont know maybe though

Message: electric superchargers are really efficiant, but there also expensive a lot of buses use electric superchargers. can't remember the site to the real ones though.
