Subject: Crank case breather filters IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone KNow if they make these little filters for the 4.7 liter 2000. I read a post on the members board but since i am not a member i can't post a reply. I know K&N makes them but they are not very specific on applications. If anyone has a cold air intake and the crank case tubing is connected to the intake tubing i would recommend getting a filter for the crank case. i took the tubing connected to my airaid intake off for a little while and noticed a little more noise and cold air sucking in. Don;t leave it uncovered or you will get sh!t in the crank case. so any ideas where to find one would be greatly appreciated

Message: Isn't that tube meant to relieve crank case pressure by sucking air. I guess some Valve breathers should be enough to keep crank case pressure down, but don't think a little unplug hose would be enough at high rpms. I'm just guessing here.

Message: Try any local auto shop or internet site like jegs, just measure the hole and it should be a generic size. Just fine one that will fit, no moving parts or electronics to worry about there.

Also, you can get one at Pep Boys, but they aren't K&N.
