Message: I was looking over my truck and noticed that I dont have a rear sway bar. Im guessing that if I had one then my truck would handle better. Do other dakota models besides the R/T's have them and do the fit my '00 V-6?

The "Towing/Handling" package came with a coat-hanger sized rear bar. If all you want is a better than stock rear sway bar, I've been running the Helwig Rear bar for about 2 years now. No probelms. If you want much more noticeable performance in the handling, Hotchkis sells the front/rear bar kit for about $500.
Not a bad time for a V6. :)

Message: I recently scored a used rear bar off an R/T for $36 with all the hardware. Made a big difference. Find someone with an R/T that went with the full Hotchkiss kit and make an offer.

Message: if you want one you can have mine, taken off 99 Dakota all you need is the 2 attaching caps and 4 bolts to mount it to the pads on the axle. you might check to make sure the muont pads are installed, welded on.
