 Subject: shift points while drag racing

my local dragstrip is getting ready to open up for the season. its a 1/8 mile but i was wandering for the fastest times what is a good rpm to dump the clucth on the line and what rpm i should shift at duting the race.

I am assuming that you have a 4.7L since you said clutch. What is your gear ratio? I usually use 4800 RPM's for shift points for mine sine that is where the HP peaks.

I shift the 5.2l at 5000
ONLY mod was a flowmaster (paper filter even!)
best time was a 15.59 at 87.78 mph.
