Subject: Fried My Tranny IP: Logged
Message: I attempted to install a TransGod shift kit in over the weekend and fried the clutches and bands. I am expecting close to 1400 in repairs. I know that the tranny is the weak link, and am wondering if putting in a reman is better. Transmission Exchange offers their "heavy duty" version for $1580. I am trying to weigh my options before deciding what I have to do next week. Anyone with ideas???? Thanks for your help

Message: what did you do wrong to fry your clutches?
i have been wanting to put a shiftkit in my tranny but haven't wanted to do the work yet.
I have a brother who has done 2 in TH350s but none in the dodge department.

Message: I was told buy the tech back home ( I am up at college now) that the clutches might be fried, I wont know till I go home exactly what is up, but I dont want to waste any more $$ when it would be better to buy a new trans.
