so, with this "dremmel mod"... (grinding away a small shelf) am i gonna lose a little low end torque with the increased airflow? i have a 4x4 and i actually like the punch that the 4.7 gives. don't wanna change the overall feel too much. but a little more is always better i guess.

It gave me more punch off of the line.
2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

Hey Curtis,
Does the 2002 4.7 liter also have the 68mm throttle body or did they go larger with the new year. Also the Quad Cab is listed with 245hp. Did they do this with the computer or mechanical upgrades. Since you work at a dealership I was thinking you could find out.

Soory handi2, the 245 hp is for the 360 5.9L
the 4.7L has 230hp.

No mechanical differences according to the book. I have heard the Y-pipe is ¼" bigger. Couldn't tell you if the throttle body is any bigger haven't had one off. I was wondering that on the 4.7HO but I am not sure.

OOPS the 4.7 comes in 230hp and 235hp on my Quad Cab.
