How would you guy rate castrol syntec to all the other syntetics out there (Ammzoil, Quakerstate, Mobil 1) Just wondering heard someone say it was made using cheap ways and others say that it has a magnetic property that protects in ways other oils can't.

I've been using Castrol Syntec (5W50) since 1994
both in my Lebaron drop top (102000 miles now)
and DAK#1 (DEAD) and DAK#2 (alive and kicking)
I have had no problems with either and all have been extremely easy to start (even when it was
-20 outside).The only thing I have noticed is that compared to same vehicles that use Petro based oils mine runs somewhat cooler and I
average a couple of MPG better.
Y2K DAK,CC,3.9L,5Spd, OS/2 keeps going & going & going

I agree with Dak2. I have been using Castrol Syntec for awhile as well. I find nothing wrong with it and feel it is probably as good as the next synthetic.
