Message: Install an aftermarket trans cooler (in addition to the one inside the rad) and it will be fine.
If you go up to 9lbs then you definatly need an intercooler and maybe high octane gas like 94 to prevent detonation.

Message: there are no intercoolers available for the powerdynes, and where do you find 94 octain? the highest here (so.cal) is 92.
when running the 9# get the felpro head gaskets, before you blow the stocks.
also, what mods do you have? headers, and a throttle body will help out a lot as well as the M-1 manifold.

Message: Yes, get the gaskets. I have a 99 rt with the powerdyne... 6# pulley and was havin a blast.... untill i blew the gaskets and im having coolant and fuel pressure problems... Not sure about what is going to need to be fixed yet, but i would get some better gaskets and prep the motor for more air (intake, exhaust ect.) my 2 cents

Message: The 5.2/5.9L is prone to blowing head gaskets with boost above 6#. (It's a common problem...nothing to worry about.) Just change the gaskets to a quality set of FelPro's (1008) and either Mopar Performance or ARP head bolts.
On the fuel pressure, check the FMU and make sure the gasket isn't leaking or some dirt got in there. (Had that happen to me as well.)

Been there done that, won't do it again. Have you had any problems yet with junk plastic intake blowing off when you let out of the throttle???
Or maybe with detonation? They need to do more R&D!!!
Good Luck,
Hate to be a party poopper!

Message: Nope...not me. The discharge tube fix is rather easy (and very inexpensive) and they make plenty of power...even at 10# boost. (Been running it for over a year now without any problems.)
On the detonation problem, that's why all the 2000+ kits come with a MSD 6AL/BTM.
