Subject: Magnum Roller Cam? IP: Logged
Message: Do Magnum engines (3.9/5.2/5.9) come with roller cams? Are the lifters rollers or flat. Is a 30 minute break period required for a new cam install on a magnum or just plug and go.

Message: the cam and lifters are roller (from what i have heard). just install some roller rockers and you have a fully roller engine.

Message: Yeah I've done some shopping around for cams and along the way have found out that the Magnum engines have roller cams in them, but the stock rockers aren't a roller rocker.

Message: I think the v-8's have had roller cams since the late 80's. It was one of the first things that made up a Magnum motor. The majority of the changes were made in 1992 but lots of other parts were changed during the 80's as well.
