i have a 93 v8 2wd with the following engine mods, gibson single 3in.,mp controller,mp wires, cold air kit,ported/polished tb,accel coil,180ts,3923's.would replacing the rockers be a reasonable mod based on what i have now? if so ,1.6 or 1.7? made by? thanks.
if you have done this what have you gained?

Use the 1.7's if you don't plan on upgrading the cam. I heard from some guys on here that the 1.7's were the best mod they've gotten. If you have money to burn get Crower...if not goto www.krcperformance.com and goto the roller rockers section.

From what I've heard it raises the lift which increases the top end all the way to the rev limiter...also heard it creates more power through the whole rpm range. Expect about 20hp w/ the 1.7's. Not sure about gas mileage though. If U can find that guy "Kota on the 20's" floatin around U might ask him. Also depends on how heavy your foot is ;)

i have heard they add 15-20hp at the wheels. i didnt dyno mine, but it seems about right. as far as gas mileage, mine stayed about the same, but im on the gas a little too much ;-) if you have a light foot, you will probably get better miledge. because of the added torque down low, you dont need to press on the gas as much.
