Do Ford injectors fit Mopar products. I have a 95 5.2L and have just replaced a bad injector, now I have another. Want to go ahead and replace the entire set. The Fords are a lot easier on the pocket. I have heard they are a direct fit, what about the conectors?

Anyone Know??

IAT Adjuster, K&N w/ dual cold air, Headers, true duals w/cat removed, Mopar PCM, Accel Ign, Ported TB, Autolite 3923's, Taylor wires, M1 Intake,Helix Spacer(Bought and paid for, so I left it on)

Thanks, but I am fed up with Mopar injectors. I am going for the Ford High flow instead. I have worked on Fords for several years and have rarely heard of their injectors going bad. I have had my Dodge for 6 months and have had 2 bad already(bought it used, no warranty). Love the truck, and wouldn't switch back though!!

Just curious though, how cheap? Someone else may need them online!

Thanks again

Unless you're running either a supercharger or cam/heads/intake combination, the Ford Motorsports 19# High-Flow injectors are more than plenty.

Yes, they fit the '95 5.2L.

bernd,
I am also in the hunt for fuel injectors. My 1990 Dak has a few good air side mods ( K&N intake, edl. headers, flowmaster duals, no cat) but my fuel delivery system is stock. A guy here told me that he had the same set up on his Gen I as I do. Then he replaced the V6 50 pph stock injectors with Pre-Mag 5.2L 65 pph injectors and said it made a world of difference. Is this true? And if so, should I just get to a junk yard and buy some off an old dodge 5.2 of can I get some new ones from Ferd motorsports? I am guessing the GenI injectors are different than the GenII and III. Due to the engine Mag-Non Mag thing. Thanks .

Hey! Bruce has some injectors up on Ebay! (he had two auctions, I bought one. Neener neener).

I was weak... :0/ I _really_ wanted to get the ignition system squared away (Accel coil and Borg Warner C/R) but that'll have to wait now. I know I won't see big gains until I put the V8 TB in, and possibly exhaust, but hey it was a deal!

Any tips on installing these I should know about? They look straight forward, disconnect the wiring harness and then unscrew from the intake/head unit and fuel rail. I suppose I'll have a bit-o-leakage, but no biggie.

Hey Todd - cool, that's how I found mine.
I cut and pasted these directions from a previous post to Scotty, hope they make sense:

"As far as the install, super easy. 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail down, lift up on both rails rocking them gently back and forth until the o-rings come up out of the intake(the throttle linkage may get in the way slightly, I worked around it, some may rather just pull the TB as easy as that is). Do one injector at a time, popping the clip off that holds it to the rail, rock it gently back and forth 'til it comes out. Lube the new injector slightly(I used WD40), insert back into the rail and re-install the clip. Then lube the bottom o-rings slightly, slide all of them into their holes and rock gently back down into place, re-install the 4 fuel rail bolts and your done! Oh, and check for any leaks. " (Thanks to Blckbird on moparchat).

<-------- click on my thumbnail, my profile pic shows them installed.

Yes, you should...just use something small (that won't break) and lightly push the valve on the fuel rail...cover it with a rag so you don't get any fuel in your eyes. Or...just let it sit overnight, disconnect the fuel relay in the AM, and start the engine. (This helps drain some of the fuel as well from the rails...but there will still be some in there so have some rags handy.)

I've been told that I have the 19# OEM injectors on my 2001 5.9L.

Would there be any/a notable improvement going with the FMS 19# Injectors? Also would going with the 24# injectors hurt performance or just be more than you really need?

Thanks,

Bill

I haven't noticed any mpg changes. Overall, my truck is running a lot better. I did get a lot of things done to it at once, but I definitely noticed an improvement in mid-range performance (which my mechanic attributes to the injectors). I stayed with 19 lbs., the consensus being that you shouldn't upgrade to 24lbs unless supercharged. (Ask Bernd, he can tell you more)

JEGS HAS THE FMS INJECTORS #24. PART #110150824. THEY ARE $230 A SET. I DIDNT THINK THAT WAS TOO HIGH. I'M GETTING A SET FOR MY 92 SBRC SPORT. I'M ALSO GETTING A MP CAM. IT HAS 10 HP MORE THAN A CRANE CAM 2030. I PLAN TO INSTALL A 2800 STALL CONVERTER AND 4:10 POSI REAR. IT ALREADY HAS TRUE DUELS WITH DYNOMAX SUPER TURBOS, ACCEL COIL AND MOPAR PERFORMANCE COMPUTER. ALSO PLAN TO DO SOME HEAD&INTAKE WORK. WHY DOESNT ANYONE OFFER A TB FOR THIS MOTOR? WHAT KIND OF ET DO YOU THINK THIS SET UP WOULD RUN? IT HAS RUN A BEST OF 14:85 @93 MPH.

I'm not sure, but aren't the pre-magnums
throttle-body injected - so the injectors are right up at
the throttle, not at the fuel rail? In which case, I doubt
they would be the same at all.
This is where I got my injectors, there's a lot of info on

In '89 the 239 and 318 used the same exact holley throttle body injection. The only difference was the size of the injectors in the pods - (same as the magnums, just in a different place). Check out the Holley website-they list injectors from 45PPH to I think 85PPH. I just wondered if the 318 throttle bore was larger than the 239 unit.
