Subject: Sway Bar question...
IP: Logged

Message:
I am wondering what it takes to mount an r/t rear swaybar to the rear of my 98 cc sport ??

I know on the r/t's there is a bracket welded to the axel housing.....

Thanx,
Marty

I bought a used sway bar from a guy that had a '00 r/t. make sure your rear axle has the perches on it for the sway bars bracket to mount to. If it does you should be able to install w/ no problems.

Hellwig makes a rear sway bar for our Dak's.
I got mine from JCWhitney for $135 it includes ALL parts for install. You don't need the perches on the rear axel, mounting brackets and everything else is included.Instruction sheet that comes with the kit is easy to understand.Took me about 1hr to install.
Made one hell of a difference in handling both unloaded and while towing. It is also larger diameter than stock sway bar.

The problem is I have allready purchased both the front and rear. I have the bushings and half moon - over the bushing mounts. I just need to figure out how to mount them.... Any way I can get a copy of your install sheet ?? I am not planning on going out and buying new ones :(
