Anyone know how to program a keyless entry remote to a QC without taking it to the dealer. It didn't have one when I got the truck. Thanks!

Did it come equiped with kelees entry. If not you are SOL.

I have a GenII ... mine didn't come with keyless entry, so I installed it my self. I don't know about getting a remote, but I have a Ungo alarm system, and just used that one. I went to Best Buy and purchased the lock activator. I think is was like $45. for the pair. Then just wired them in to the alarm. All it is, is a activator that pulls and pushes. I'm sure you could get one put in. "Quick"

The truck did come equipped with keyless entry. The deal is, I bought the truck totalled at an auction and the truck was not sent with the controller. The truck has every option available, I don't know why it wouldn't have keyless entry. Pleas notify me if you find how to program the controller without going to the dealer. Thanks

The only way I know of to program a controler is if you have one that is already working. I got one off eBay and got it to work on my truck by using one of my other remotes to program the new controller. Good Luck!

I bought an extra keyless entry for my 2001, it did come with it how do I add the extra one without going to the dealer??

You need an operational (programmed for your vehicle) controller to program a new one yourself...at least on my 2003. I don't know if dealer will help but it doesn't hurt to ask.
