I've got a 95 dakota 2wd 5 speed w/ a 3.9 right now, but the engine has a lot of miles on it and is needing more and more work. So i decided that im going to try an engine swap w/ a 5.2. I just have a few questions, what year engine should i look for? What will i have to do about mouting it? Will i need to swap trannies too? I've got a rebuilt 727 from a 67' cornet that i plan on dropping in sometime but it'd be easiest to do it this summer. And could a couple people with some knowledge and all the right tools be able to do a project like this in a weekend?
Please help me!

you can keep the 5spd, the 318 wont put out nearly enough power to damage it, and as far as motor mounts, check out schumacher creative services for their dakota v8 motor mount kit.
