Message: You might of read that someone tried to steal my Dak last week. So i wanted to check out alarm systems.. Does anyone have an recommendations on who makes a good system. I talked with some sales guy yesterday.. About a UNGO MS2007 .. It has dual shock, flashing lights, Killstart,Remote start, and A remote(1500 feet i think) that notifies you of what area of the vehicle is being tampered with. All that for $800 Cdn. Including Install,Parts,tax.. And they said he would throw in PowerLocks ??

If you have any other suggestions let me know!

Message: I have a Viper alarm in my Dak right now (unfortunately, I don't have the model number) and I have found that Viper alarms are quite decent.
This particular alarm is now on its third vehicle (everytime I sold/traded in a vehicle I would have the alarm taken out and placed in the next vehicle).
I think I paid roughly $500 CDN (including install) for the alarm, but that was at least 10 years ago.

Sounds like a good deal. Especially with the remote start and the power locks (I assume your truck doesn't have the factory power locks).
I personally have not heard of this brand, but that doesn't mean anything. I would make sure it is a reputable brand and get at least a year warranty.
I have a Code Alarm. It works with my factory power locks, and has most of the "typical" features. It does not have the remoted starter.
It cost about $225.00 US, installed.

Message: Just got an Ungo 2005 remote start/security system installed for $450 cdn.
Great range, many progamable functions. Had to get an extra sentry key made and programmed for them to wire in line for the auto start. It's a bit pricey at $65.
According to a study I read when doing my research, Clifford, Viper and Ungo(clarion) were 3 top of the line brands.

Message: I did extensive research before purchasing mine this week and I decided on the Clifford Concep 600. Killer alarm. I also purchased the remote start for it. Too many details to list, check it out at www.clifford.com and select concept under products.
