i have a 99 4x4 5.2 w l/s rear & bfg at ko's - out in the snow yesterday {only 3 in } 4x4 off- right rear tire slipping and sliding all over .. thought the l/s rear would correct that ???? neaver felt the left tire grab any thoughts ???

Are you sure it's a limited slip? There's a sticker in the glove box that will have the gear ratio, axle size and it should say "anti-spin" or "trak lok" or "sure grip." I forget what it will say.
Otherwise, i'd have someone stand and watch while you nail it. You may just not be feeling the left tire spin.
